It's Barbie's world, and we are just living in it — at least, that's how it's felt since the Greta Gerwig-helmed Barbie movie started filming last winter. If you were not already a Barbie Girl, you probably are now after the Barbenheimer movie theater showdown, countless brand collabs, and the Barbiecore fashion trend. However, this is not the first time Barbie's had her pop culture moment in the sun. From celebrity Halloween costumes to TikTok trends, the iconic Mattel toy has inspired her fair share of movies, outfits, and songs since she debuted in 1959.
Five months after she took to her ukelele and sang a song in response to allegations of grooming, Colleen Ballinger aka Miranda Sings, is back with a new apology saying she was mad about the allegations and "let my ego take over." Everyone who saw Colleen Ballinger's ill-conceived 10-minute song response to allegations of child grooming knew that was the wrong take. In fact, Forbes estimated in 2017 the family as a whole is worth $88 billion, and in 2019 reported that the queen's net worth alone was estimated at $500 million. But how much are the other royals—like Prince Harry, Duchess Meghan, Prince William, and Duchess Kate—worth individually?
The answer isn't easy to find, and it might be harder to calculate now that Harry and Meghan have officially stepped back from the monarchy.
August 22, 2023 Beeper is a really cool app idea (and name!). The big idea is that it combines all your chat apps into one. I installed it on my Mac and iPhone and configured it to work with:
iMessage WhatsApp Signal Instagram Discord Facebook Messenger Twitter/X DMs All of them worked. But it supports even more than that! That’s pretty wild to me. It’s kinda surprising that any of these even have complete enough APIs that allow you to replicate the messaging experience outside of their own apps.
